Q: How long does a bad credit card stay on my credit report?
Greeting all, I was told by someone that after afew years of having bad credit card, it will be removed from credit report. Is this true? If yes, how long?
Thanks
A: It will be removed seven years from the date that it occurred. If you check your credit report then it will tell you the month and year that it will be removed. Oh, by the way, you are in titled to one free credit report from each credit agency every year. Here is the link below to do this. Also, it is a good idea to monitor your credit reports. If you find anything suspicious report it immediately.

Q: What credit card companies give you credit cards with bad credit?
I have really bad credit. I need some advice on where I can go to get a credit card for FREE! Everyone wants $100+ dollars to open a card. And, every card offer I can get is a load as you go. Basically I borrow my own money! Please Help and Thank you!!!
A: Check out Capital One. I was approved four months out of chapter 7. The link will show you all that they have to offer, is set to "credit needs improvement", check the other tabs if you think you might qualify. If you are approved it will be no less than $300, and when you make your first 3 payments on time they bump it to $500. Has a fee of $19, billed at close of first monthly cycle, then yearly.
Those "load as you go" cards are secured cards, and you have to have absolutely horrible credit to go that route. If I had $300-$500 to set aside as a deposit and sit on it for a year, plus pay the fees associated with opening an account, just in hopes of getting a un-secured card for $300-$500 a year from now, I would go open a CD at the bank and let it build interest. The bank would be more apt to give you a loan in a month or two, especially if you pledge the CD, and let the lender know you are trying to build your credit - with their services.
Q: What the best secured credit card with bad credit?
Anyone know of any really good secured credit card deals for people who have bad credit? I'm looking for one preferably with minimum annual fees.
Actually I just read what the difference between secured and unsecured is and I really want an unsecured credit card. Is there any that you would suggest?
A: I can understand why you'd what an unsecured credit card. The title itself implies you don't have to put down any of your money. This of course is very misleading.
Stay away from unsecured credit cards for bad credit. It's true; in most cases you don't have to put down a dime..but when you get your 1st bill...you'll most likely see a very large annual fee. I've seen "unsecured" credit cards with an $150 annual fee.
I just think a secured credit card is better. At least if you ever close it, you'll get your deposit back. With the unsecured credit card for bad credit, your annual fee just goes to the bank.
I do agree with a previous author. The Orchard Bank secured credit cards are pretty good ones. You may also want to try First Premier Bank. For people with bad credit, they have reasonable annual fees and pretty low interest rates.
I used to have bad credit..and I had the Capital One Secured Card. It had a low max balance $300 but I always paid my bills and eventually, they sent me an application for the Cap One Platinum card. This had a $10K credit limit.
The moral of the story is get a secured credit card from a reputable bank. Pay your bills online..maybe one day they'll offer you a better credit card.
Q: How can I get a major credit card with bad credit?
I am fixing my credit right now but I am booking a trip to wisconsin and they want a major credit card not a debit card. Is there a way that I can get one even with bad credit?
I am not trying to make money I just need a credit card for a one time use.
A: Go to your local credit union and make a deposit. Apply for a secured credit card in an amount = to your deposit. You will be able to use and make payments on the card like a normal card. Your funds will be on hold as collateral against the card. If necessary, you can pay the card off with the funds. It takes about 10 business days to get the plastic, so be aware this wait could intefere with your time-frame and plan accordingly.
Q: Does anyone know of an unsecured credit card for bad credit?
I have very bad credit, and I am looking for an unsecured credit card. I don't care about the interest rates(beggers can't be choosers). I just want to rebuild my credit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A: search the Internet for "secured credit cards", and then read up on them in consumer magazines like Consumers Union and Consumer Reports.
You put money in an account and replenish it as you use the money, they report you PAID AS AGREED.
You need three of them ($200-300 each is OK), and then get some major retailer and gas cards and build your way up from where you are,
Also negotiate with your derogatory accounts and try to get them to remove, or at least soften, the negative information you already have on your accounts.
Q: where can i get a good unsecured credit card with bad credit?
I have horrible credit, thanks to a loser of an ex-fiance, and now I can't find a credit card to accept me. Is there any unsecured card that would accept someone with bad credit?
A: Try these cards:

Q: Can I get a credit card with bad credit?
I've tried to get one in the past but generally the only ones I can get are pre-paid credit cards. I've never had a credit card before but my credit is so bad that everytime I try to get one I get turned down. Anyone know of a credit card I could get with no bank account and no credit checks?
A: If you have bad or poor credits and want to re-establish your credit, these are the special cards for you such as USA Gold Shopping Card, USA Gold Optimum, or Orchard Bank MasterCard. Since you credit history is bad or poor, you will be only given a small credit line. And you might have to pay a higher interest rate than that of regular credit cards. But if you are determined to get your credit back to good standing, apply for one of those credit cards and always make the minimum monthly payment, or even better - pay off the balance every month. Your credit lender will be willing to low the interest rate and increase your credit line gradually.
If you still can't get approved for these special credit cards for bad credit, try pre-paid credit cards - These Prepaid Card does not extend you credit. Instead, accounts are prepaid for a specific amount and accounts are only good for the balance you have loaded/applied. They work pretty much like a debit card but entitle you to some benefits of a credit card.
Q: Is it possible for someone with very bad credit to get an unsecured credit card with a cosigner?
My job requires me to travel frequently and each employee has their own company credit card to use for these expenses. Due to a merger, however, we will no longer have "company" cards and we have to get our own "personal" credit card to use for expenses and get reimbursed later starting next month. I have very bad credit, however, and do not qualify for my own card. If I can't travel, I lose my job. I don't know what to do. Looked into all the cards for bad credit, but they are all secured cards with very low limits and very high fees.
Ok, everyone keeps giving me links to websited that offer cards with limits of $200-$300 with setup fees of hundreds of dollars--trust me, I have looked at ALL of those options already. What I am really looking for is a "normal" credit card with a limit of $2000-$3000. I know I can't qualify for one of those by myself, but I am wondering if it is possible WITH A COSIGNER. I don't know if cosigners are even an option for credit cards. I know they are for loans, but I do not know if credit card companies accept cosigners.
A: If you have someone with good enough credit then they likely have a credit card themselves. They can add you as an authorized user which gives you a card on their account. It has your name on it and the credit line is then reported to your credit as well, thus establishing credit history for you. This is the only way a "cosigner" would work with a credit card. If you apply for a joint card and your credit is that bad, they will decline the card.
What you really need to do is fix your credit. It will take some time, depending on your credit situation, but you can do it yourself online and for free. I suggest you pull your 3 report from annualcreditreport.com and see whats in them. You can dispute any information in your report. Information that is incorrect, outdated or unverifiable must be removed. Unverifiable is the loophole. If the creditor fails to respond within 30 days then the item gets removed. One thing to note on the reports is the date the creditor last reported. Chances are if its been a long time then they may have forgotten about you and may not respond to the dispute, thus resulting in a deletion. Don't suffer with bad credit. Take action to fix it. Life is much nicer without bed credit holding you down. Good luck to you and if you need any more info on repairing your credit, feel free to email me through yahoo answers.

several cards listed on the site include...
Continental Finance Gold MasterCard®
Continental Finance MasterCard®

here is some more information about the
Continental Finance Gold MasterCard®
The Continental Finance Gold MasterCard®, issued by First Bank of Delaware, is a credit card designed for those with poor credit who would like a second chance.
The main benefit of this unsecured credit card is that it reports to credit bureaus. This is a rare opportunity for those with poor credit who would otherwise only qualify for secured or prepaid cards, which often do not report to credit bureaus or charge fees to report to credit bureaus.
This card has a very low APR of 9.75%, and it has an annual fee of $25. It also charges a monthly maintenance fee of $12 ($144 per year). However, the monthly maintenance fee is waived for the first month. There is a one-time account processing fee of $200. This means that the total amount of fees that a cardholder can expect to pay in the first year will be $357.
Cardholders will also receive free online access, excellent online tools for managing their finances, and semi-annual credit limit increases.
Therefore, those who want a second chance with their credit, do not mind paying the various fees, and would prefer an unsecured credit card may find the Continental Finance Gold MasterCard® to be beneficial.
